Sunrise Songs and Two-Minute Dates

Starlit Songs for Four Little Eggs

At 2:00 am in the quiet early morning, Gertrude looked all tucked in on the nest, her feathers fluffed like a soft blanket over the eggs. She rested so gently, keeping her tiny treasures warm while the stars shimmered above the Green Nest Penthouse.

Sunrise Songs and Wiggle Dances

As the sun rose over the Green Nest Penthouse, you could hear Walter singing in the background, his morning songs floating through the branches like little spells of encouragement. Gertrude, still fluffed and cozy on the nest, began her important duties of keeping the eggs warm, doing her gentle wiggle dance, and carefully checking on the tiny treasures safely beneath her. Together, their music and movements turned the new day into a quiet celebration of the little family growing just under Gertrude’s feathery blanket.

Lunch Date with Walter

Walter arrives for the date. (on the left)

Walter is always nearby in the tree, singing and talking to Gertrude so she never feels alone on the nest. At lunchtime, Walter flies in and invites Gertrude on a tiny two-minute date, escorting her on a brief “recess” flight from the eggs. During these first days of sitting, he gently leads her while she stretches her wings, takes a quick bath, or relieves herself before returning to her cozy nest duties. As the babies get closer to their arrival date, Walter will start bringing Gertrude her meals, making sure she can stay tucked in and warm over their growing little family.

Back to the cozy nest.

Until the Next Wiggle Dance

Tomorrow, We’ll peek back into the Green Nest Penthouse to see how Gertrude’s cozy recess flights and Walter’s tree songs are helping their tiny family grow. We’ll watch as each new day brings more gentle wiggle dances, more loving lunch dates, and a few little hints that hatching time is slowly getting closer.
